Mission statement

The US and China are the two main countries around the world. Every little step of them may have a huge impact on both countries, as well as the whole world. So here is the big news about US- China.

After Huawei CFO signed agreement with US, Meng left canada while two detailed canadians backed Canada

 

On Spet 24, after 1027 days of extradition hearing, Meng Wanzhou, the chief financial officer of Huawei has deferred prosecution agreement with the US during a video meeting with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. She accepted all the conditions offered by the US. After the deal, the US withdrew its extradition request for Meng to Canada. Meng was soon aboard a special plane by AirChina to ShenZhen. According to Reuters.

Shortly before Meng’s plane took off from Vancouver, a Canadian government plane took off from China with businessman Michael Spavor and former diplomat Michael Kovrig onboard. Who had been detained into jail by Beijing since Dec 10 2018 for “national security charge of inciting subversion” and been Convicted by Chinese courts. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Minister of Foreign Affairs Marc Garneau went to Calgary airport to welcome them when they arrived at the airport.

While the AirChina flight flew out of Canadian Aerospace above the North pole, Meng described tearing up as her flight from Vancouver to Shenzhen and praised China’s ruling Communist Party on her WeChat Wechat account. In China, the main nation-wide media lived this event. Hundreds of people went to Shenzhen Bao’an International airport to welcome her back. People’s Daily’s editorial says that Meng back China is the effort of CPC(Communist Party of China), the country and its people, “there’s no force can stop China’s progress”

Booster shots for Pfizer vaccine is available and recommended for group of people by CDC 

According to the CDC(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the CDC have completed their independent, scientific review and recommended that people who got Pfizer and are age 65 and older, at high-risk for severe COVID, or are frontline workers can go get their booster, starting at least 6 months after their 2nd shot.

This is the first group of people eligible, and CDC will continue to evaluate data over the coming weeks and make determinations for additional populations going forward, including people who got Moderna and J&J.

Hear is a list that occupations at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission include front line essential workers and health care workers as previously detailed by the CDC:First responders (healthcare workers, firefighters, police, congregate care staff), Education staff (teachers, support staff, daycare workers), Food and agriculture workers, Manufacturing workers, Corrections workers, U.S. Postal Service workers, Public transit workers, Grocery store workers

Vigil organiser passes motion to dissolve, who held annual vigil for Tiananmen square event on June 4

According to RTHK(Radio television Hong Kong) Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China, convened a special general member meeting on Sept 25 to vote whether they are going to dissolve due to the society politics environment. As the result is 31 to 4, the Alliance will start its dissolve process.  The group held masscandlelight vigils in Victoria Park year after year, openly calling for an end to one-party rule in China and demanding vindication for the quashed pro-democracy movement.But 2019 was the last time it held an approved vigil, with the authorities citing the pandemic to ban the event in the following years.

HK Security secretary:  Alliance’s end won’t stop our actions

After the alliance declared its dissolution, Security secretary Chris Tang presented a radio program and  said the possible disbandment of the Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China will not clear anyone of legal liabilities, nor will it affect the actions authorities are taking against the group. Beijing supports its statement. Beijing’s Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office said the group must be investigated and held accountable for its alleged crimes, and accused it of “spreading rumours” and “organising illegal assemblies”.

 

Hong Kong Police deploys 5,000-6,000 police forces to ensure the election of the Election Committee, while only more than 4,900 voter need to vote

Hong Kong police will deploy between 5,000 and 6,000 officers on Sunday when some 4,900 people go to the polls to vote for members of the powerful Election Committee, as part of the city’s first political race under a system overhaul imposed by Beijing. Chief executive Lam said she “Respect the arrangements made by the Police Force after the assessment”

 

APPR on HK started inquiry into the actions of British banks operating in Hong Kong, after pro-Democrats’ bank accounts have been frozen

Due to the national security law in HongKong, several banks have frozen Ted Hui Chi-Fung, a former legislator who announced his exile in the United Kingdom,and his wife’s banking account. After several reports to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Hong Kong ,the APPG on HK decided to undertake a full international inquiry into the actions of British banks operating in Hong Kong in september 2021.

 

What’s missing.

There should be some information about Taiwan,which is another key station of the US-China relationship. Also, the whole page is too political. I think I might need to add some information about the relationship in the field of  economics and business.
