Data User Guide — MBTA Delays and Closures
This is a collaborate project with David Cartledge. Original purpose and application These datasets were compiled by the MBTA to best inform commuters about the daily flow of public transit within the city of Boston. Using real time data collected and distributed by the MBTA, commuters are informed of any delays, slowdowns, or closures across the public transit system. Along with the knowledge of the delays, riders are informed of potential down time for each alert, as well as the reasoning behind the alert. MBTA opened its first branch after 35 years
Boston–On Monday, the MBTA’s Union Square branch and Union Square Station began operation. The Union Square Branch is the first branch after 35 years. Another part of the Green Line Extension, the Medford branch with 5 stop till Tufts will open later this year. As the same part of Green Line extension with the Union Square Branch, the MBTA also debuts the renovated Lechmere Station.
