The Massachusetts Statehouse reopened itself to the public last Tuesday after a 708 day closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the last statehouse to reopen in the country.
In order to enter the statehouse, visitors older than 5 years must provide a negative PCR test or provide proof of vaccination. The plan to reopen was driven by the declining number of cases despite the surge of the highly contagious omicron variant of the virus.
